Supply Chain Manager

  • Lytham - 100% office based
  • Salary up to £50,000 dependent on experience
  • 8am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Supply Chain Manager - role summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain, logistics and operations strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity.

This role involved collaborating with other departments, such as production, procurement, R&D and finance, to ensure the seamless integration of the supply chain process.


Supply Chain Manager - main duties:

  • develop and implement the company's supply chain strategy
  • manage, mentor and develop 2 x team members
  • oversee the procurement process and develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, also a Just-in-Time inventory system
  • manage the logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
  • negotiate and manager freight contracts
  • implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness

Supply Chain Manager - personal attributes:

  • Substantial previous experience in supply chain management or procurement
  • Proven experience in managing teams and driving performance improvements
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems (eg SAGE, Excel, PowerPoint, NetSuite)
  • A degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in supply chain management (eg CIPS) is a bonus
  • Strategic thinker, proactive problem solver, flexible, detail orientated and accountable.
