Supply Chain Planner

Our client is open to people from a retail supply chain background or equally from a merchandise planning background for their Supply Chain Manager vacancy.

Some key responsibilities Include:

• Analyses daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
• Be aware of all New Product launch dates; manage and monitor the performance and be prepared to intervene with solutions where there is risk to achieving accepted into DC dates.
• Identifies, investigates and proposes cost saving opportunities within the supply chain and develops operational plans for implementation, while ensuring due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and accuracy of data is completed and up to date.
• Creation and execution of effective trading strategies which will deliver budgeted sales, net profit and margin. Forecast sales and the strategic plan to drive sales and maximise end to end profitability of products.
• Forecast profits and sales, optimising the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas
• Plan budgets and present sales forecasts and figures for new ranges
• Monitor slow sellers, taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
• Analyse previous season's sales and report on the current season's lines
• Meet with suppliers and manage the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates, and completing the necessary paperwork
