Global engineering business require a Supply Chain Planning Analyst to balance inventory levels and analyse ERP and MS Excel data. Applicants need supply chain, logistics or data analysis experience, and strong competency in MS Excel (intermediate or above)

The Supply Chain Planning Analyst will own and manage data relating to; inventory levels, customer forecasts and supply plans - much of which will be held in the demand planning module of the ERP system. ERP data is often exported to MS Excel for further analysis.

Working as part of a large supply chain planning team, the Supply Chain Planner will ensure customer requirements are accurately reflected in the ERP system to enable effective forecasting.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Planning Analyst include:

  • Upload customer demand into the ERP system
  • Download demand from customer web portals
  • Analysis of inventory levels, forecasts and purchase orders
  • Daily use of MS Excel - Pivot tables, Pivot Charts, Vlookup, Formulas (sumif, whatif, countif)
  • Advise colleagues of significant increases/decreases in demand
  • Seek to improve, develop and automate demand planning processes

Supply Chain Planning Analyst applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in; supply chain, demand planning, logistics, purchasing or as a data analyst
  • Strong MS Excel skills, competence with Pivot tables, Pivot Charts, Vlookup, Formulas (sumif, whatif, countif)
  • Ability to analyse data
  • Professional and detail-orientated
  • Comfortable being site based every day
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
