About the role...

Poundland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager to set the strategic direction for the smooth flow of goods from supplier to store across a number of our key FMCG departments. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will champion maximising availability across the breath of range whilst optimising sales, margin and cost in collaboration with our Buying, Merchandising and Distribution teams.

Your Impact and Responsibilities…

As our Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will:

  • Interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders 
  • Leading the team to deliver inventory policies that get the right stock in the right place at the right time, whilst achieving key availability and stock KPIs
  • Develop improved ways of working and processes and lead the team to embed them
  • Manage OTB (Open to Buy) and WSSI (Weekly Stock & Sales Inventory) for your departments to ensure alignment to budget
  • Lead trading and management of sales, stock and clearance in season
  • Analyse historical, promotional, and in-season performance data to drive strategic actions
  • Ensure optimum stock levels and launch availability through effective supplier collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Buying team to drive sales and profitability through optimisation of range planning and stock exit management 
Skills and Knowledge…
  • Significant experience of end-to-end supply chain
  • Enthusiasm to work in fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong commercial planning, attention to detail and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to influence and drive commitment across teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of core retail commercial processes
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain management, including allocation and replenishment
