Job Title: Secondary School Teacher (Supply)

Location: Berkshire, United Kingdom

Hours: Full or Part Time

About us:

Reed are a well established agency working across Berkshire supporting some of the leading schools in the county. We are committed to fostering and supporting an environment of excellence within the schools that we work with to prepare them fully for the challenges of the future. We believe in nurturing the skills and areas of strength in the teachers that we work with to better support the schools and their students.

The role:

As a member of the cover team, you would be supporting students in their lessons in the absence of their usual teacher. You will be using pre-planned materials to ensure that the students do no miss out on their learning. You are there to make sure that they have continuity in their education, to report safeguarding concerns, to manage the classroom and any challenging behaviours throughout the lessons. There is no requirement for you to be an expert on the subject you are teaching, as there is no expectation that you will be completing any planning or preparation work. Obviously knowing a subject is a bonus, but is not essential!

If you are a UK or overseas qualified teacher looking for subject specific cover work, then the Reed team can work with you to find you a long-term post teaching the subject that you know the best. This means that you will always be working, picking up experience in a range of schools without any of the hassle of finding your next post.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as a secondary school teacher.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with a team.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV by hitting ‘apply’ below detailing their suitability for the role. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.

Join us in shaping the future of education in Berkshire! We look forward to receiving your application.
