Job Title: Temporary Teaching Assistant (Day-to-Day Supply)

Salary: £90 - £100 per day

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and flexible Temporary Teaching Assistants to join our team on a day-to-day supply basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in various educational settings and make a positive impact on students' learning.

Job Description:

As a Temporary Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to teachers and students in a variety of classroom settings. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, supporting individual and group learning, and helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
  • Help prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities as needed.
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or specific learning difficulties.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, following the school's behaviour management policies.
  • Adapt to various classroom environments and age groups as required.
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the classroom teacher or school leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and adaptability to different classroom environments.
  • Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, reliable, and committed to supporting students' learning and development.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
