Position: Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Bordon, Hampshire

Start Date: ASAP / September 2024

Type: Temporary/Day-to-Day Supply

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students across various educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • 1:1 Support: Working closely with individual students to provide tailored assistance and ensure their specific needs are met.
  • Classroom Support: Assisting teachers in managing the classroom, preparing materials, and facilitating a positive learning environment.
  • SEND Support: Working with students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and receive the support they require.
  • Adaptability: Flexibly adapting to different school environments and student needs, demonstrating a proactive and positive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students in primary, secondary, and SEN schools.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs for students with SEND.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant staff members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEND and the ability to implement effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings and student requirements.
  • A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
