SALARY:                 £26,000 + benefits

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Join this leading Housing Support provider as a Support Worker for Female Homeless Pathways and be part of a team dedicated to providing essential support and guidance.
 
As part of this committed team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to empower and assist homeless women within a 55-bed service supporting vulnerable women and young mothers and babies in navigating their journey towards stability and independence.
 
The accommodation consists of 4 self-contained flats and 51 rooms contained in a mixture of 2, 3, and 5 bed flats with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Residents will be allocated a Support Worker and develop a personalised support plan, enabling them to progress towards more independent living in the future. Residents usually stay for 12 months, but this might vary depending on the resident’s circumstances
 
  • Provide holistic support to homeless women along their journey to stability
  • Empower individuals through advocacy, skill-building, and emotional support
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and supportive living environment
 
Preferred Requirements:
  • Proven experience in supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly women facing homelessness
  • Ability to build rapport, trust, and understanding with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach
  • Empathetic and resilient nature, with the ability to navigate challenging situations with composure
  • Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting the well-being of all service users
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in social care, counselling, or a related field
  • First Aid and Safeguarding certifications
  • Any additional relevant qualifications or training in supporting vulnerable individuals
