Support Worker: Veterans
 
LOCATION:               Bristol
HOURS:                     Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm / 8.30am – 4.30pm
SALARY:                    £14.65 PAYE, £16.12 Umbrella
DURATION:  Temp – 2 months+ with scope for temp -perm
START DATE:           mid-August
 
Our client is looking for a new dedicated member of the team to help empower veterans to lead fulfilling and independent lives. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing housing and tenancy related support, mental health support, and more, while embracing a flexible approach to innovative practice.
  • To directly provide support for veterans to maximize their independence
  • Provide one to one support with move on
  • Manage a caseload of clients, create realistic goals and support them to live more independently
  • Collate information for accurate reporting on performance against targets and outcomes
  • Ensure veterans are fully involved in the project at all levels
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in support planning and risk assessment
  • Ability to provide housing and tenancy related support
  • Knowledge of mental health support
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with relevant initiatives related to veterans
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in healthcare or social services
