Job Title: Support Worker

Location: Derby

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £12.82 ph.

Job Description: Career Teachers are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with young people with ASD, providing personalised support to help them develop essential life skills, enhance their social interactions, and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to young people with ASD.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
  • Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote social skills and community involvement.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting support plans as needed.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children and young people with ASD or other developmental disabilities in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with ASD.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
