Supported Housing Officer

Hulme, Manchester

Our client, a social housing provider in Manchester, is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work with Young People on an initial 6 month basis.

The rota runs from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm.

Responsibilities of the Supported Housing Officer:

  • Managing a caseload of around 12 clients aged 16- 25 years
  • Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
  • Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
  • Assessing new clients support needs
  • Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
  • Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
  • Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
  • Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
  • Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills

Essential criteria of the Supported Housing Officer include:

  • Enhanced DBS with Barred List (Children)
  • Experience within a similar supported living environment
