Supported Housing Officer (Part time) – £13.15 per hour – Lewisham, South East London

The Role

We are an award-winning specialist housing charity based in Southeast London, looking to appoint a Supported Housing Officer to our growing team.

You’ll be providing essential support to individuals facing challenges such as mental health issues, homelessness, or leaving care. Your role will involve helping clients build independence, manage their homes, and access the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clients with diverse needs, offering tailored support plans and SMART goals.
  • Conduct client inductions, risk assessments, and provide ongoing welfare and benefits advice.
  • Maintain accurate client records using our database and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Handle incident management and contribute to maintaining safe, welcoming living environments.
  • Collaborate with staff and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support and effective service delivery.

The Person

  • Experience in social housing, mental health sectors, or similar supportive roles.
  • Strong understanding of housing, welfare benefits, and health & safety regulations.
  • Proficient in managing databases and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working under pressure.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and committed to professional development.
