Estimator / Surveyor - Commercial Interiors

Salary - £40,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefits

Location: Stockport

My client was established over 50 years and specialise in the supply and installation of wall and ceiling solutions within the interior market, mainly commercial, leisure, retail, education, industrial and health care.

Looking for someone that is communicative and proactive team player with commercial interior, fit out, dry-lining and subcontractor experience.

Responsibilities

Cost Estimation and Bidding:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates by analysing project plans.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and proposals for tenders.
  • Gather quotes from contractors and suppliers.

Site Assessment and Measurement:

  • Conduct site visits to verify conditions and dimensions.
  • Perform measurements and quantity take-offs for accurate cost estimation.

Project Coordination and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to align estimates with project plans.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimated and actual costs.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Address regulatory issues in coordination with legal teams.

Progress Monitoring and Cost Control:

  • Track project progress against estimates and schedules.
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and cost control reports.

Client Liaison and Reporting:

  • Act as the main contact for clients on cost-related matters.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and financial health.
