AES Sustainability Consultants Ltd is an award-winning consultancy firm that works with some of the leading UK housebuilders and developers, delivering high quality energy and sustainability advice and assessments to the construction and property industries.

AES is looking for passionate Sustainability Consultants to build and develop our Overheating teams in order to focus on overheating assessments in accordance with the Part O regulations.

The successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and clients. Good attention to detail is essential as the role requires a high degree of precision and organisational skills.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Producing Overheating TM52 and TM59 assessments, Part O assessments
  • Active engagement with the client and project team to ensure that sustainability requirements are taken into consideration and achieved throughout the duration of the development
  • Delivery of high-quality overheating and thermal comfort analysis using IES
  • Thermal Modelling using IES software
  • Being involved in Energy Assessments and modelling improvements
  • Consult on building design to comply with Part L
  • Energy and Sustainability statements for planning

Competencies:

  • Be computer literate and have a good level of general education, particularly in Maths, Science and English
  • Be competent in the use of IES for overheating analysis including TM59 and TM52
  • Be able to self-manage a busy and time-critical schedule of work
  • Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and able to maintain a positive professional attitude when under pressure
  • Be self-motivated and able to deal with a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
