Systems Accountant Continuous Improvement
Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-known, award winning, growing brand, as we support them in the recruitment of a Systems Accountant. This is a newly created role, that offers great progression opportunities as well as fantastic exposure to unique and autonomous continuous improvement projects. You will be responsible for the integration of automation technologies and digital solutions within the finance function, ensuring finance systems and processes are streamlined and operating efficiently.
The Job:
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be an ambitious, technically minded Systems Accountant, with proven experience of building relationships with stakeholders to take a joined up, proactive approach. You will be a true leader, taking ownership of the automation project.
- Experienced in setting a medium and long-term automation and digitalisation strategic plan.
- Ability to work with finance system venders to identify technologies of the future that will drive the finance function.
- Attend internal project review meetings to ensure the Finance team needs and deliverables are represented and communicated.
- Review current processes and internal controls.
- Design dashboards to track the performance of the financial systems and processes.
- Manage and develop the ERP system in line with business growth, leveraging tools such as robotic process automation and AI.
- To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of SAP.
The Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or proven experience.
- Experience of SAP, with a forward-thinking approach to technology.
- Highly influential, with proven leadership skills
- Positive and resilient; enjoys a busy, fast-paced way of working.
- Pro-active and enthusiastic; an ability to generate ideas and influence change.
- Finds reward in implementing change, setting a 'can do' example.
- Attention to detail and an ability to identify weaknesses and areas of risk in controls, systems and processes.
- Proven experience in finance process automation, digital transformation, and system integration.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
