Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a prominent public sector organisation based in the North East who are looking to recruit a Systems Accountant to their team. This is the perfect role for a self-starter with end-to-end system accounting knowledge whilst still possessing the softer skills that enables them to be an effective business partner.

This organisation has recently been recognised as ‘one to watch’ and provides a supportive environment with a large focus on professional development. They are currently operating a hybrid policy with 1 to 2 days onsite along with a flexible approach to working.

The role:

  • To take the lead on collaborative meetings with system stakeholders to consider any potential and ongoing system needs
  • Responsibility for managing day to day system administration including helpdesk provision for the financial accounting system for various divisions of the business
  • Accountability for planning, maintaining and monitoring the strategic and operational requirements of the businesses financial management system
  • Assist with training of all stakeholders to ensure high levels of awareness and competency in system use

The person:

  • You will be CCAB/CIMA qualified with extensive experience in a similar role
  • Experience of financial systems most notably Unit4 Agresso
  • Possess technical expertise of developing and maintaining finance systems
  • Be comfortable reporting and presenting to non-finance stakeholders
