Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer - Portsmouth - Up to 65k

This is a great opportunity to join a world leading navigation company - who design and create navigation and mission systems for a range of clients. They are now looking for a Systems Engineer to join them. The successful candidate will provide System Engineering Services for the companies Maritime Surveillance Systems projects and Naval Bridge Systems projects.

Responsibilities:

• Produce technical documentation (interface documents, requirements, SoW, verification/validation).
• Build, configure, test systems, and maintain product knowledge to guide Service Engineers in setup, commissioning, and repairs.
• Interpret requirements for system-level specifications, create technical proposals, and perform installations as needed.

Requirements:

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Experienced with marine electronics systems, including radar, electronic charts, navigation aids, and steering controls
• Skilled in building, configuring, and diagnosing PC systems and networks.

You must be prepared to work offshore for short periods, and to travel within the UK and abroad. You must also be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
