Job Description

• Leads the development of the product to meet the engineering commitment to the program and business.
• Leads design to cost and manufacturability of the product through development, and partners with sourcing, supply chain and program management to successfully transition the product into manufacture.
• Ensures customer and system requirements are met or exceeded.
• Accountable for engineering systems integration. Lead overall development activities to meet customer requirements.
• Balances system requirements & flows requirements to sub-components/piece-parts to optimize system; owns KPI / Risk trades across teams and components.
• Partners with technology & design groups to ensure program delivers on-time, on-budget.
• Technical interface to project / airframers / customers.
• Provide guidance, leadership, mentoring and intervention, as necessary, to strengthen the discipline, quality, reliability and rigor of our engineering work.
• Works with the Advanced Technology Organisation (ATO), portfolio leaders and program management to develop & sell product line strategic vision.
• Sets short-term goals & objectives and long-term visions for team.
• Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
• Develops succession plans & growth opportunities for team.
• Ensures teams are appropriately resourced (people and $).
