A client based in Nijmegen is looking for a Systems Software Engineer for an initial 12 months contract. Ideally candidate will work 3 day per a week on site.

  • Develop and maintain application software and software driver to control the IC via PC based applications.
  • Further develop and maintain our in house code base to control the test environment via the above developed driver
  • Real-time software development (C / C++)
  • Translation of requirements to module level functionality together with architects
  • Creation and maintenance of unit tests
  • Define milestones and work packages together with architects and project managers
  • Cooperate with Validation team to understand the needs of the required software driver
  • Preparation and contribution to review procedures
  • Multi-site working in multicultural teams around the globe

Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Experiences in semiconductor or automotive industry with focus on system level behavior
  • Experience in: real-time software, processor architecture know-how, socket programming, callback handling
  • Experience in: protocol stacks and higher layer communication protocols
  • Experience with interfaces like I2C, SPI, USB, TCP, PCIe and Ethernet
  • Advanced C/C++ programming skills (other programming languages are an advantage)
  • Experience in modern software management processes (SCRUM)
  • Experience with software debugging tools (like Logical Analyzer, Oscilloscope and Debugger) is desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft visual studio, building and link process, dll creation
