Personal Tax Manager

Your new role

Working closely with clients and with colleagues within the firm, you will review self-assessment tax returns for a portfolio of 600 clients from simple tax returns to wide variety of complexities. You will also have scope to support clients with tax planning work and further develop advisory services.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent personal tax experience and one of the following relevant accountancy and/or tax qualifications (ATT/ CTA/ ACA/ ACCA) would be beneficial but tax experience is key. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work to deadlines and manage your own workload effectively, as well as being able to work well with others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working closely with the Tax Director and other Tax Managers to deliver the team strategy
• Implementing agreed department processes and procedures
• Day-to-day management of UK tax compliance work
• Successful delivery of UK personal tax compliance services
• Review and sign out of UK personal tax returns
• Provision of UK tax advisory services for individuals, including the preparation of technical tax advice notes and reports for clients if required
• Supporting the team with training and development
• Keeping up to date with UK tax law changes and sharing knowledge with the team
• Supporting marketing and business development initiatives
