Job role:  Tax Assistant

Location:  Christchurch  

REED are recruiting on behalf of an accountancy in Christchurch for a Tax Accountant

on a full time, temporary basis to support them with self-assessment tax returns during their busy period over the next few months.

As a Tax Assistantfor our client, you will be responsible:

  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of both corporation and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring adherence to all regulatory deadlines and compliance standards.
  • Tax Reporting: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports, maintaining accurate and detailed records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Client Interaction: Communicating with clients to collect necessary documentation, answer queries and provide general tax support.

You will need:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a tax assistant role within an accountancy practice in the UK
  • Relevant qualification such as AAT, ATT, CTA
  • A solid understanding of UK Tax and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office products, notably Excel
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
