Job Purpose- Manage a tax portfolio including all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
- Undertake a range of tax assignments, including personal and corporation tax returns and computations, international and inheritance tax, national insurance, trusts and estates tax, and VAT.
- Review computations prepared by junior staff with constructive feedback and identify training gaps.
- Research and interpret changes to tax legislation, both UK and overseas.
- Liaise with HMRC to negotiate on behalf of clients.
- Create tax strategies and plan their financial futures.
- Undertake detailed computations to calculate tax liability and advising on how to minimise liability.
- Build strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and resolving complex issues.
- Champion professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities.
