** Group Tax Manager**

Our client, a large PE backed business in South of England, is looking to recruit a Group Tax manager. This newly created role will be responsible for bringing the firm's tax affairs in-house, implementing systems and creating best practice in this area.

This super opportunity, based in the South East of England with hybrid working, offers you the chance to set up a tax function from scratch, and make a positive impact on the firm. The key to success in this role is having experience of significantly improving the tax affairs of a small to medium sized firm, covering primarily VAT and PAYE, as well Corporation Tax.

The candidate will be currently working in an SME or mid-tier practice and have broad tax experience (rather than narrow/deep). It will be an advantage to have engineering (or similar) industry experience, but not essential. If working in industry, you'll have led process implementation and improvement, and be able to bring that knowledge to this firm. If you're in practice, you may have operated as an outsourced tax manager for private clients, participating in a range of tax matters, and have the knowledge and ability to set up a tax function from scratch.

For your experience and skills, you'll be rewarded with a career changing opportunity, as well as a competitive salary (£80-90,000), benefits, and bonus (up to 10%) .
