Tax Senior

The primary focus of this position is to assist with the delivery of corporation tax compliance. You'll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality tax services to large OMB's, Corporate Groups and PE back businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ATT/ CTA and are eager to take the next step in their careers.

What we’re looking for…

• Someone friendly and approachable
• An individual who is confident corresponding with clients and HMRC
• Previous or current experience working in public practice accounting
• ACA / ACCA / AAT / CTA newly qualified, or part qualified
• 2+ year’s experience in corporation tax (experience in accounting will also be considered)
• Experience in advisory preferable but not a deal breaker!

Responsibilities…

• Preparation of tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for submission to HMRC for complex clients (e.g., corporate groups, P.E backed businesses, large OMBs)
• Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues on simpler clients,
• Awareness of contentious tax issues, managing risk and advising clients appropriately,
• Quarterly Instalment Payment Calculations.
• Preparation and assistance with various advisory projects: Detailed capital allowances reviews, R&D claims, Group restructures, Corporation tax due diligence and supporting mergers or acquisitions
• Training and mentoring junior team members
• Developing strong relationships with other members tax teams and commercial and trusting relationships with clients.
