Are you passionate about shaping young minds and igniting a love for Art? Look no further! Tradewind are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join a leading academy in Waltham Forest as an Art Teacher in September.

Tradewind's partner school boasts modern facilities and has staff and student development at the forefront of everything they do. In the early 2000's, the school underwent significant structural developments and they are proud of the physical and academic environment in which they have created.

The Art department is an incredibly important faculty within the school, as there is a strong emphasis on educating the whole child to prosper in an all facets of the modern world. The school values their students becoming creative individuals, and investment into a well-resourced Art department has supported this aim. Educational visits to local galleries and real life sculptures, as well as covering a range of artists and ideas within learning contribute to the academy's art curriculum being ambitious and exciting to both teach and learn from.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stage 3 - 5.
  • Parents Evening attendance
  • Support with the planning and organising of school trips.
  • AQA Syllabus
  • Support with revision and creative sessions on the lead up to practical exams
  • Embrace the role of a form tutor, supporting students' personal growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • A strong drive and determination to progress students' artistic skills and overall learning.
  • An availability to start on the 1st week of the 2024/25 Academic Calendar
