Accelerate Teaching is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Computer Science to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of tech innovators.

About the Role: Starting in September 2024, this full-time position will see you teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of contributing to A-Level classes. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging lessons that not only meet curriculum standards but also ignite a genuine interest in computer science among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote computer science and technology.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in computer science education and integrate these into your teaching.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the field of computer science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in training opportunities.
