The trust strives to support and develop their teachers and provides a healthy work/life balance alongside also achieving their aims of inspiring and supporting their students in experiencing a positive learning environment and achieving their potential.

Role Overview:
The school are seeking an inspirational Teacher of English to join their established and successful department. The experience and flexibility in the team means that they are equally open to appointing an ECT candidate (and are able to offer a comprehensive support mechanism to get your career off to a great start) as well as to appointing an experienced teacher of English looking for a change of school; the successful applicant will teach a mixture of KS3 & KS4 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Manage behavior effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Passion for improving students' life opportunities.
