About the Role

A forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join their thriving Humanities department. This full-time, permanent position starts in September 2025 and offers the chance to work in a supportive and ambitious setting where high standards and student progress are central to everything they do.

Position Details
  • Location: Bradford

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

  • Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Right to work in the UK

  • In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for Geography

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable Attributes
  • Confidence in using technology to enhance learning

  • Willingness to support extracurricular activities or geography field trips

  • A reflective, growth-oriented teaching mindset

  • Ability to work well in a team

  • Creative and engaging lesson planning skills

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage all learners

  • Prepare students for GCSE Geography examinations

  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and support student development

  • Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department

  • Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions and contribute to whole-school life

  • Promote geographical awareness and global citizenship

  • Participate in school trips, events, and extracurricular initiatives
