Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an 11-16 mixed academy and their hiring of a dynamic History Teacher to join them in September 2024. The school, with a capacity of 800, is on an exciting journey with future plans for exciting developments to the school grounds. Their recruitment matches this ambition, with the school looking to appoint a forward thinking and personable History Teacher to embed themselves within the school community.

This Ofsted rated good school is a dynamic and friendly working environment. The Senior Leadership Team have been with the school since 2022 and have been a driving force in improving learning standards and academic attainment upon their arrival. A major reason for the positive school environment is the emphasis that has been placed upon staff well-being and workload, with measures in place to ensure staff are best supported to delivering their best teaching performance. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring History lessons across Key Stage 3 - 4.
  • Parents Evening attendance
  • Support with the planning and organising of school trips.
  • AQA Syllabus
  • Embrace the role of a form tutor, supporting students' personal growth and development.

Contract:

  • September position
  • Outer London Weighting - MPS / UPS
  • Full-Time, 5 Days Per Week
  • Interview date: w/c 17th June
  • Permanent Contract

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • A strong drive and determination to progress students' artistic skills and overall learning.
