Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Teacher of Law at our Haywards Heath campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,189 - £40,839 per annum.

The Teacher of Law role:

Are you an experienced and passionate Law professional looking to inspire the next generation of Solicitors, Lawyers, Barristers and more? Haywards Heath College is seeking a Teacher of Law to join our fantastic team and help shape our students’ future careers in this vast sector. You will be joining a growing & highly popular department at a college that is at the heart of the Mid Sussex community.

As our Teacher of Law, you will deliver high quality teaching and learning that will inspire the next generation and help shape their future careers.Your role will include:

  • Teaching on our Level 3 Law courses (BTEC and A level)
  • Working collaboratively and with innovation, alongside managers and colleagues to design and develop, engaging lessons.
  • Ensuring that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities of ourTeacher of Law:

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
  • Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

Our ideal Teacher of Law should have the below skills and experience:

  • Education to degree level in relevant subject
  • Experience teaching A Level Law
  • An up to date interest in Law
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
