The Role:

We are seeking a passionate MFL French Teacher to join our client's faculty on a 0.6 FTE basis. The successful candidate will inspire students from Year 9 to Year 13 with engaging French lessons, nurturing their language skills and cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inspirational French lessons.
  • Support and provide extra help to students as needed.
  • Offer regular feedback through verbal and written methods.
  • Contribute to the MFL Department's activities under the leadership of the Head of Department.
  • Write academic reports to communicate student progress to parents and pupils.
  • Act as a role model, embodying school values in the classroom.
  • Prepare assessments and help students prepare for exams as directed.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and conduct.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in French or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching French, ideally within a boarding school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
