Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join a school in Hodgehill. This full-time teaching position is set to start in as soon as possible and offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a positive impact on the lives of students aged between 4 and 11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Responsibilities:

- Utilize your expertise in special educational needs to plan, deliver, and assess lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with ASC.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, progress, and independence.

- Collaborate with the school’s SENCO, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students.

- Regularly monitor student progress, assessing their strengths and areas for development, and providing timely feedback to parents and stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.

- Specialization or additional training in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or ASC.

- Proven ability to differentiate lessons and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with ASC.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.

- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a commitment to their holistic development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
