Job description
Five Education is looking for an experienced SEND Learning assistant to work 1:1 with a child in year 10 with Cerebral palsy. With His exams coming up next year it's important that he attends class and engages with the work. Although cerebral palsy is on the surface there may be other EHCP needs that could be emotional or Social. This role would suit someone great at creating inclusive environments and comfortable with minor lifting(moving tables/Chairs).

Daily Tasks:
- You will be supporting the teacher in helping the student engage and stay on track with the task set.
- Ensure Student safety when traveling around the school or classroom (e.g. moving tables or chairs to make adequate space.)
- Help with personal care when necessary (e.g. Toileting needs)
- Encourage social engagement between him and other students
- Report any Health & safety, social, physical, or emotional concerns to the correct staff member.
- Ensure that you create an environment of respect where all students feel equal.

Requirements for the role:
- An up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate
- A good knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude with a great level of patience
- 1 - 2 Years experience working with children with Send Needs/Vulnerable children
- Understanding & the ability to deal with a wide range of behavior issues that could be mental or physical.
- Fit and healthy enough to move Tables and Chair comfortably
