Job Advert: Teaching Assistant & Behaviour Support (Full-Time)
Location: Rotherham
Contract Type: Full-Time (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant & Behaviour Support to join our team at a primary school in Rotherham. This full-time role involves working within the classroom and supporting an attached inclusion unit, focusing on students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), autism, and behavioural issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEND, autism, and behaviour difficulties, helping them engage with learning activities and supporting their emotional well-being.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment and tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.
  • Work closely with the school's inclusion unit to support students with more complex needs.
  • Use behaviour management techniques to support students in regulating their behaviour and improving social interactions.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (essential).
  • Team Teach certification (desirable).
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND, autism, and behaviour challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and patient approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • A passion for supporting children's development and inclusion.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
