Teaching Assistant Job Vacancy

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team.The Role: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? As a Teaching Assistant at Dudley Special School, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' educational and personal development. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
Provide one-on-one or small group support for students, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated.
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Support students with personal care needs, where required.
Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
Foster strong relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including therapists and other specialists.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
