Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Inner City Manchester Primary School
Start Date: September 2024

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in inner city Manchester. In this role, you will provide tailored support to children with a variety of additional needs and disorders, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of children with SEND.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of each child.
  • Provide one-on-one support and group interventions as needed.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child's education.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with children with additional needs and disorders.
  • Strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
