Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovley primary school to work with students in KS1 who have additional needs. You will work closely with a student requiring additional support, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. Your role will involve personalised instruction, assisting with classroom activities, and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a student on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist with classroom activities and lessons
  • Implement and monitor IEPs in collaboration with teachers and specialists
  • Encourage social and emotional development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • A commitment to the educational and personal development of the student
