Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Rossendale
Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced SEN teaching assistant for a very popular SEMH Secondary School. The role is to start 1st September 2024, 5 days a week, with the potential of going permanent for the right candidate.
Pay starts from £89.89 per day dependent on experience up to £115.89 per day. The school also has a large onsite staff parking with close links to the M65.
This SEMH Secondary School aims to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children can achieve their academic potential. They ensure that they foster and develop the social and emotional well-being of their children as well as concentrating on developing the potential of their staff.
The school has students with a wide range of with challenging behaviour and Social and Emotional behavioural difficulties. You will be Supporting a pupil in Year 9 on a 1-2-1 with the pupil. As a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support the pupils in the class and also deliver work with the pupil outside the class where you will be required to deliver the work that's been set.
After visiting the school, I was really impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities with interactive whiteboards and iPads in all the classroom. This school also encourages and healthy and active approach to everyday school life.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed Support Team and SLT. Plus, the successful Teaching Assistant you will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff.
Additionally, while walking round the school the behaviour of the pupils was settled and had such a warm family feeling and pupils polite and welcoming.
To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role you will need to:
- Experience Supporting in KS3
- Team Teach Trained (not essential as training will be provided)
- Knowledge and understanding working with challenging behaviour, trauma and Social and Emotional behavioural difficulties
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
