Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

Full Time Position

Temporary position

2nd September 2024 - 31st August 2025

The Governors of an amazing community primary school, based in Halewood, wish to appoint an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join their Key Stage 2 team. This appointment is for 30 hours per week, term time only (8:45 am -3:15 pm), and will be based initially across Year 3 and 4. The role will be varied, and will involve working alongside the class teachers in to support a number of children with SEND across the key stage, as well as carrying out the role of a class teaching assistant. There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to potentially work additional TA hours at the Breakfast and After School Club.

In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), we are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with children with SEND;

Has experience of nurturing pupil interaction and behaviour;

Boast experience of working in a primary school setting;

Show resilience, reflection and commitment to the best outcomes for all children;

Demonstrates teamwork in all aspects of their role;

Consistently has high expectations both for themselves and the children in their care;

Is passionate about children's learning and determined to see that all children are inspired and succeed with enjoyment and enthusiasm;

Will be dynamic in preparing and adapting the learning resources under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
