Teaching Assistant - Year 3 Class in Bargoed

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Bargoed
Start Date: 2nd September
Contract: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Year 3 class in a primary school in Bargoed. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) who is passionate about supporting children's educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to Year 3 pupils, ensuring each child can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Support the emotional and social development of pupils, encouraging positive behaviour and self-confidence.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress, reporting back to the teacher and SENCo.
• Help create a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
• Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and contribute to a positive school environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
