Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Salary: Competetive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students' learning and development, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the preparation of classroom materials.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to enhance their learning.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Supervise students during break times, field trips, and other activities.
  • Provide additional support for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for all students.
Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with students with SEN.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Additional relevant qualifications or training.
