Teaching Assistant - Tower Hamlets

Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Salary: £375 -525 per week

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2024

Tempest Education are currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding rated Primary School in Tower Hamlets The school require a Teaching Assistant to join their team this is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm (during school term time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students with mild learning difficulties
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom resources and displays.
  • Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes.
  • Participate in school events and activities as required.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • First aid training.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum.
