Primary School Teaching Assistant - Kirklees
The Education Network is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partnership schools based in the Kirklees area. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is committed to enhancing the education of children within a classroom. The successful applicant will have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant and will need to understand the curriculum and be able to deliver this to the highest level possible. Candidates must hold a recognised teaching qualification and have recent school experience.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
  • Have a degree and/or equivalent OR have an HLTA qualification.
  • Have experience working within an EYFS to KS2 setting.
  • Have experience leading groups/lessons.
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to apply for one

Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Relevant Early Years level 2/3 qualification
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to apply for one

SEND Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
  • Previous experience working within a Primary School and prior SEND experience preferred
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
  • A passion and desire to work with students with additional needs.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to apply for one
