Job Description:

We are excited to welcome a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to our team for a long-term, full-time position starting in September. This role involves supporting general classroom activities and providing targeted assistance to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and impactful lessons.
  • Offer one-on-one support to students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Facilitate small group work and personalized learning plans.
  • Assist in preparing educational materials and classroom resources.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Supervise students during breaks and on school outings.
  • Work alongside the broader school team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND.
  • A genuine passion for education and dedication to student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant UK qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
