Academics are seeking a remarkable teaching assistant to join our dynamic team and make a positive impact on the life of a child in Year 1 with global delay.

As a teaching assistant in Westminster, you will have the incredible opportunity to work closely with this special child, providing the necessary support and guidance to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your role will be pivotal in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to the child with global delay, adapting teaching strategies to meet their unique needs.

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring the child's active participation.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting a sense of belonging and self-confidence.

Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to develop individualized learning plans for the child.

Monitor and assess the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and parents.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ?? Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly global delay, is highly desirable.
• ?? Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and resources for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
• ?? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with the class teacher, parents, and external professionals.
