Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work at an excellent secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, starting 4nd September 2024 and lasting until at least October half term 2024. This is a temporary position, and is cover for a vacant position, so there is potential for this to become Payment for this position will be between £90 and £100 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Job share options may be available in this role, so part time applicants are encouraged to apply for this role.

This role will involve working within the specialist SEND department within the school, supporting students with complex needs. Ideally the school are looking for a candidate who has experience working within students with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Experience within the care sector is also transferrable for this position. You will be working within different classrooms, and supporting students with a variety of different needs. As there are multiple different positions available, there is the potential to match a role to the specific strengths of the successful candidate.

Located in Pocklington, the school is easy to access from most areas of Hull and Beverley, and is commutable from York. There is a large onsite car park that is free to use for candidates who do drive. The school has a fantastic reputation within the local community, and treats their temporary staff extremely well. The head of the SEND department is fantastic and will support with all queries and development areas. The school puts candidates through rigorous training to ensure that they are fully supported and are equip for the role.

• Has experience working as a teaching assistant
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
