Randstad is partnering with outstanding schools in Haywards Heath to find enthusiastic individuals ready to develop their skills and support their students' growth. Our partner schools offer on-the-job training and a supportive team of experienced staff to help you thrive. In this term-time role, you'll assist students aged 4-11, contributing to their social, emotional, and academic development. If you have experience working with children or a background in caregiving, a teaching assistant role could be the next step for you. This is a long term role with full-time hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support learners individually or in small groups
  • Serve as a positive role model in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher with resources and activities
  • Build positive relationships with staff, learners, and their families
  • Collaborate with other staff members
  • Bring your best self to work every day

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering a love of learning
  • Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
  • Experience working with children or in childcare
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Confidence and motivation to guide individuals or small groups
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
