Care First - Reeves Street are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team and truly make a difference

  • £13,810.39 per annum 
  • 9.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
  • 27.5 hours per week, Term Time Only
  • Permanent
  • Term Time Dates will be subject to the service operating needs

As a Teaching assistant, you will be supporting to deliver education to young adults in a learning environment that caters for pupils with complex behavioural support needs and health needs. 

Everything that we do is based on thoroughly understanding the needs of our learners and how we can best support them in achieving positive outcomes.

Our approach is caring, positive and adaptable, and is underpinned by a thorough theoretical knowledge. Our staff come from relevant educational and therapeutic backgrounds and have extensive experience of supporting adults with complex needs.

Who we are looking for

Experience working with complex needs is preferable, but if you are eager to help vulnerable young adults and adults to live happy, fulfilling lives, this is the role for you. We will provide you with full training and development to succeed within your role.

You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising children as they explore further afield.

Desirable 

  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 
  • NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3
