Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs (SEND) within a school in North Derbyshire. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the child's development.
  • Monitor and report on the child's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the child's evolving needs and educational goals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is desirable.
