Academics are currently looking for a qualified and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a variety of day-to-day and long term supply opportunities. Working within primary schools across Caerphilly can be varied and therefore we proudly work with an assortment of schools that have different requirements to suit.

Our opportunities are great as they allow our staff to be flexible with the days that they wish to work and these roles do have the potential of leading to long-term and permanent contracts in schools.

The main responsibility for the 1:1 teaching assistant is to support a learner with either diverse learning needs or special educational needs. They will ensure that the learner(s) progress and thrives in a classroom environment.

Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant include:

  • Provide learning support for learners in a classroom environment and in 1:1 situations.
  • Run specific activities tailored to the learner's individual and social needs.
  • Work as a part of team to ensure the well-being and personal development of the learner.
